Description

In this work, a vast wooden engraved one-cent coin suspends above a round hole encircled by sands. The suspension is made possible by several filled-glasses' supports. Below the wood coin is a device for illumination -- illuminating the real coins underneath the wooden counterfeit. This work invites the audiences to contribute coins into the sand-constructed hole. The participation may be HU JianPing's intention to ask about the relationship between art value and pecuniary value.
