Description

"Love" was created between 1988 and 1993, a period of time for the artist who moved to Austria and continued his exploration of modernist sculpture at home. The sculpture consists of two parts, characterized by one’s smooth and sleek nature, contrasted with the other’s rigid, rough, wedged nature, referring to two genders respectively. Two parts are intertwined. The artist’s early works are mostly related to the abstract expression of sexuality. The harmonious synthesization of two contrasting parts may contain this message, which is also suggested by the title, “Love”.
