Description
"Growing body," was created between 1988 and 1993, a period of time for him to continue his exploration e of modernist sculpture. The three protruding parts are characterized by their smooth texture and sleek shapes, contrasted with the rigid, rough, wedged main body of the sculpture. The middle protruding part is in a good shape by the fact the artist preserves a concave space for it to settle, which makes the bold contrast harmonious and organic. The artist’s early works are mostly related to the abstract expression of sexuality. The harmonious synthesization of the protruding part and main body may contain this message.
