Description

This series of works consist of six paintings and were created from 1992 to 1994. As a Uygur artist from Xinjiang, China, Aniwar draws on central Asian themes in his works and places them in a contemporary context. "In his paintings, various cultural motifs from the artist's Uighur background are employed and the theme of the desert is also dominant.
