Description

"Telephone No. 3" is a sculpture created from 1988 to 1993, a continuation of experiments on sculpture with interest in the topic of sexduality he had in China after the artist emigrated to Austria. This free-standing, round-shaped sculpture is composed of three layers. The front layer is painted black and features a red protuberance that extends outward, which is the middle layer. The back layer remains unpainted. The main body of the sculpture is roughly chiseled, creating a contrast with the smooth, polished texture of the red protuberance. (Zhuocheng Jiang '26)
