Description
The conceptual art work, "East Wind No.3," was executed at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing on Aug. 8th, 1995. A black-and-white photograph captures the artist, the celebrated Chinese art critic Li Xianting, and two young Chinese ladies standing in front of the museum. These two ladies are in T-shirts with the artist's signature and the Chinese words "East Wind No.3". They are arranged to accompany Li in the museum. According to the artist, this act should be considered as "legitimate art activities". The other photograph shows the artist's handwritten statement on this execution, written on Aug. 9th, 1995.
