Description

In this action art, the artist LIN Yilin constructed a wall with prepared bricks on a bustling street in his city Guangzhou China. To build the wall, LIN Yilin only carried one brick with him from the sidewalk and treaded to-and-fro on the street until the fruition of the wall. After the wall reached a moderate shape and size, it started to hamper the transportation -- vehicles and passengers would make concessions to circumvent the LIN-made obstacle. The work, adding together its reception, may be LIN's investigation of the power of individual (note that the wall is finished on the artist's own) in the backdrop of Modernity.
