Henry E. Thomas has commenced a suit in the court of common pleas against Thompson Cooper lodge, No. 7, order of the Knights of Pythias (colored). The plaintiff cliams that his son, the late Henry J. Thomas, carried a life insurance policy in the lodge for $300 amd that the beneficiary named in the policy was Jessie May Thomas, the wife of the deceased. The plaintiff states that for a certain consideration the said Jessie May Thomas assigned the police to the plaintiff in this action. The plaintiff states that defendant has failed to pay the $300 to him and therefore brings an action compelling the lodge to pay to him this amount, with interest from December 7, 1909. The attorneys for the plaintiff in this action are H. H. and R. M. Greer.
