The lefthand wing of a triptych, the icon depicts Saint Spiridon, three-quarters length, holding a closed book in his covered left hand and blessing with his right. He wears his characteristic cap. His sakkos is decorated with black and grey-blue crosses. The background of the icon is gold. The paint and gesso have been lost from the bottom and top edges of the wing, but the face and upper part of the figure remain intact and show the refinement and meticulous attention to detail characteristic of the best Greek icon painting of the sixteenth century.
