This two-sided silver icon shows St. Barbara on the obverse and the Dormition on the reverse. St. Barbara appears half-figure, holding a cross in her right hand and a sword in her left. The background contains a repeated diamond figure and, on the left, a tower. On the left border is stamped "84," on the right the maker's initials, N.R. St. Barbara's name in Russian appears at the top. The Dormition of the reverse appears against the diamond-figured background, the Russian word for Dormition appearing at the bottom.
