Bulmash: Croatia (Croatian: Nezavisna Drzava Hrvatska, NDH) was a puppet state of Nazi Germany. The NDH was founded on 10 April 1941, after the invasion of Yugoslavia by the Axis powers. It was controlled by the governing fascist Ustasha movement and Ante Pavelic, which in turn were primarily under German influence. Its racial enemies were Jews, Serbs and Roma people, against whom large-scale genocide campaigns were conducted in places such as the Jasenovac and Stara Gradiska concentration camps.
