Blue envelope with “Service of Prisoners of War” typed in blue ink on front.

Information Provided by Michael D. Bulmash:

Letter sent in 1942 to Secretary of Ladies Committee to Jewish Relief Association in Bombay, India. Dehra Dun was one of the internment camps set up in India dor “enemy aliens” who might pose a serious threat to Britain in World War II. Dr. Grossman was part of the Anti-Nazi Wing Unit-Refugees from Nazi Germany-in contradistinction to true enemy aliens. Octagonal British Censor with number DHN/4 and straight line DHN/4 marking in violet.
