Abstract
A general view of Cyrene, showing the city's "Sacred Way" in the center. The Sacred Way was the path leading down the valley and giving access to temple of Apollo from the city's agora. "The temple had been the focal point of a sacred precinct," and was destroyed by the Persian invasion in 525 (MacKendrick, 117).
