James Stark, English, 1794–1859 (painter).

Description

A stream runs across the bottom of the painting and under a stone bridge on the left half of the scene. In between the bridge and a small cottage on the right rise two trees, leaves changing color, that extend into the blue sky. The background is lined with trees, still green, over which cumulus clouds emerge.
