Description

Excerpt from 'Wang Gongxin & Lin Tianmiao website' (http://wanggongxin.com/): “A projector is hanged from the ceiling, playing images of the facial expression of six adults: the parents, the paternal grandparents and the maternal grandparents, teasing and playing with a baby. These images are projected on the surface of a baby-bed, which is actually a mini pool filled with milk. In the middle of the pool there is a circulatory system, which pumps and drains the milk. The only sound is from the running of milk. This work was first shown in China’s first video art exhibition PHENOMENA and IMAGE, which took place in China Academy of Fine Arts in Hangzhou, in 1996.” (Russ, Hannah ‘18)
