George Booker, 90 year old life-long resident of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, discusses the athletic events of his youth including watching the Mt. Vernon Giants, one of the rural community's "all colored" baseball teams of the 1920s and 1930s. Notably, Booker talks about some of the grand teams from the Negro Leagues that came to town to play the local team. Among players he recalls seeing was Satchel Paige, the renouned pitcher.
