Envelope postmarked May 11, 1941 Rzeszow franked General Government with violet circular date stamp JUDENRAT DZIKOWIEC RAD ZYDOWSKA and boxed DZIKOWIEC uber Rzeszow alongside. Dzikowiec was a small shtetl a few miles north of the regional capital of Rzeszow, connected with the Jews of neighboring shtetlach and shared cultural, academic, social and economic interests: cemeteries, butchers, bakers, etc.
